Andrea Shlipak Mail
A native of Irving, Texas, Andrea Shlipak Mail is a graduate of Harvard University with an honors degree in Social Anthropology. She received her Master's degree in Religious Education through a joint program with the University of London & The Leo Baeck Center for Jewish Education. From 1988-89, Andrea was a Rotary International Ambassadorial Fellow to the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. She then spent two years in NYC, promoting Israel programs on college campuses for AZYF (American Zionist Youth Foundation). Andrea returned to live in Jerusalem for two additional years, studying at The Pardes Institute and as a Wexner Fellow at Hebrew Union College.
Andrea has been married for twenty-two years to Steven Mail of Glasgow, Scotland.
The couple initially resided in Paris, France, then moved to London, England where their three daughters, Sabrina (15), Zoe (13) and Jasmine (12) were born. In London, Andrea served as Executive Director for the British Friends of Hebrew University. Since moving to Jacksonville in 2004, Andrea has focused her time and energy on community building and volunteering extensively for non-profit organizations. She serves on multiple boards and chairs events for local and national events.
Andrea is a certified life coach. Hobbies include: connecting people, reading/learning, playing tennis, practicing yoga and travelling with her family to exotic places (they've visited 70 countries).
